Corresponding with the Paint out listed below I painted this painting the day before and just entered it into the "The Artists' Greats" Exhibition which opens September 3 to September 26. Please take some time to see it, I give you "MYSIS, Gloucester

Tues the 23rd of June a collaboration between the Northshore and Southshore has artists painting the towns of Rockport and Gloucester together. To find out where the artists are setting up for their masterpieces stop in at the Northhshore Art Assn., Pirates Ln Gloucester and watch while the paintings come to life! The fun begins at 11:00 am! Welcome

About my work: I paint our New England Heritage and am pleased to magnify the architecture of the 18th and 19th century juxtaposed with the culture of today. Each small town has it's own identity and character, look up and see the pride that went into the facades of the various buildings that make up a town. I paint the harbor also and am enamored with old fishing boats, the spirit of the sea. I am challenged by the movement and the light that plays off the water. I paint the atmosphere creating moods and the bouncing shadows and any nature inspired composition that I come across. You will have to see all 5 pages to see the body of my work.
